Lunar New Year 2027 Events in Orange County, CA

Orange County is home to Little Saigon, so Lunar New Year here means Tết (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) in a big way: flower markets, firecrackers and a student-run Tết festival now in its fifth decade. Lunar New Year's Day is Saturday, February 6, 2027, the start of the Year of the Goat.

The headliner is the UVSA Tết Festival, run by the Union of Vietnamese Student Associations. In 2026, its 44th year, it filled Golden West College in Huntington Beach from February 13 to 15. A week later, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, the Westminster Tết Parade marched down Bolsa Avenue through the heart of Little Saigon.

Prefer flowers and fireworks? The Asian Garden Mall in Westminster runs a Tết flower market, and its firecracker show went off on February 17, 2026. Families can head to the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, whose free Lunar New Year festival was on February 1, 2026, or catch Pacific Symphony's Lunar New Year concert in Costa Mesa (February 21, 2026).

"Nothing beats the crash of the cymbals when the lion dance comes down the street." (Ben, founder of LunarNewYearEvents.com)
