Westminster Tet Parade

Firecrackers pop, drums thunder and the crowd leans in as the first float turns onto Bolsa Avenue: that’s the Westminster Tet Parade in Little Saigon, Westminster. The city calls it a yearly celebration of Tết (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) that has been held for over two decades. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet.

What to expect

In 2026 it was held on Saturday, February 21, with an opening ceremony at 8:30am and a firecracker demonstration. The parade brings floats, marching bands, lion dances, martial arts, color guards and community groups down the route. It draws more than 15,000 people in person and over 250,000 online viewers.

The route starts at Bolsa Avenue and Magnolia Street, heads east on Bolsa, turns south on Bushard Street and ends at Bishop Place. Early birds get the curb, so set that alarm.
