The big one is the Lunar New Year Tết Festival and Parade in Elk Grove, a celebration of Tết (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) and the wider Lunar New Year. In 2026 it ran February 14 and 15. That same Saturday, February 14, the historic town of Locke, founded by Chinese immigrants in 1915 along the Sacramento River, held its own celebration.
With kids in tow? Fairytale Town celebrated on February 15, 2026. A community Spring Festival and the Sacramento History Museum have hosted celebrations in past seasons too. None of the 2027 dates are out yet, so we'll add them as soon as they're announced.
