Food trucks, lion dancers and a parade in a big green park: the Lunar New Year Tết Festival & Parade brings Tết (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) to Elk Grove Regional Park in Elk Grove, just south of Sacramento. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet. In 2026 it ran Saturday and Sunday, February 14 and 15, 2026.
What to expect
Look for lion dancers, cultural performances, live music and local artists. Food comes from local cuisines and food trucks, and there’s shopping from vendors. Kids activities in past years included jumpy houses and photo booths.
The 2026 edition added a twist: a Mardi Gras and Asian Cajun Village with New Orleans-style performers. Lion dancers and Mardi Gras in one park? That’s a pairing you don’t see every day.
