Picture drums rolling, dancers spinning and the smell of street food drifting through the crowd: that’s the Atlanta Lunar New Year Festival in Chamblee, Georgia. This two-day celebration takes place at the Culture Center of TECO, just behind Atlanta Chinatown. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet.
What to expect
In 2026 it ran Saturday and Sunday, February 21 and 22, from 10:30 AM to 4 PM. Each day packed in nearly 20 cultural performances, from music and dance to traditional art demonstrations, plus food vendors and activities for the whole family.
Earlier editions featured lion and dragon dances, hands-on workshops and night-market-style food, so come hungry and leave room for seconds. It has been held every year for about 30 years, and We Love Buford Highway helps organize it as part of the Lunar New Year Committee.
