Sea air, cultural performances and a goat or two: the Port of Los Angeles Lunar New Year Festival brings the new year to the LA Waterfront in San Pedro. This free, family-friendly event is held at CRAFTED at the Port of Los Angeles and has been running since 2015. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet.

What to expect

The 12th annual festival ran on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 3pm to 7pm. The lineup included artistic performances and cultural demonstrations, plus Asian-style food for purchase.

Kids could visit a petting zoo of zodiac animals, with roosters, goats, pigs and a pony. It’s the rare party where the guests of honor might nibble your sleeve. In 2026 the festival also added a drone show and a firecracker finale, weather permitting.
