A lion dance to kick things off, food vendors and a kid zone: the Rancho Cucamonga Lunar New Year Festival is the city of Rancho Cucamonga’s own annual welcome to the new year. It’s held at the RC Sports Center. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet; the 2026 festival ran Saturday and Sunday, January 17 and 18, 2026.
What to expect
The festival starts with an opening ceremony and a lion dance, followed by live cultural performances. Local food vendors and an artisan marketplace keep you snacking and browsing.
In 2025 there was also a kid zone, carnival rides and a beer garden, so it works for families and friend groups alike. The 2026 edition was the fourth.
