Eden Center is home to more than 120 family-owned Vietnamese shops and restaurants, and at Tết (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) the whole place turns into a party. Picture drums echoing off the storefronts as lion dancers make their rounds while kids line up for face paint. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet; in 2026 the celebration ran over three days, Saturday, February 14, Tuesday, February 17 (Lunar New Year Day) and Saturday, February 21, starting at noon.
What to Expect
In 2026, all three days had free face painting, balloon twisting and caricatures. Lunar New Year Day brought a community flag ceremony and giveaways, and lion dances ran on February 17 and February 21. The city’s event listing also mentions red envelopes and a wishing tree for all ages. Many visitors come dressed in áo dài (traditional Vietnamese long dress), so bring your camera.
The main day follows the lunar calendar, so it can land on a weekday. If the lion dances are your priority, plan around the dates once they’re posted, and leave time to eat your way through the shops.
