Picture a drumbeat rolling through a plaza and a lion weaving through the crowd: that’s the Asia Plaza Lunar New Year Celebration in Cleveland’s AsiaTown. This free two-day party fills Asia Plaza on Payne Avenue with lion dancers, food trucks and music. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet; in 2026 it ran Saturday and Sunday, February 14 and 15, 2026.
What to expect
Each day at 11 a.m., the Kwan Family Lion Dance Team paraded from Li Wah restaurant through Asia Plaza to Park-To-Shop Supermarket. Around that, you could catch cultural performances and martial arts demonstrations, then browse food trucks, vendors, crafts and photo stations.
The days ended on a beat. Saturday closed with a DJ dance party and Sunday with a K-Pop (Korean pop music) dance party, so standing still was strictly optional.
