Ever watched a lion balance on a bench? The ACCA Lunar New Year Celebration at Liberty Center in Liberty Township, Ohio, north of Cincinnati, is a free afternoon of hands-on culture and stage shows inside The Foundry. The 2027 date hasn’t been announced yet; the third-year celebration was held Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m.
What to expect
From 1 to 4 p.m., hands-on activities filled the space: calligraphy, paper cutting, costume try-on, Chinese tea and dumpling tastings, music labs and a photo station.
The stage show ran from 3:30 to 5 p.m. with dragon dance, lion dance, Asian drums, Chinese music and a taiji (tai chi, a slow, flowing martial art) demonstration. An acrobatic “Lion Dance on Benches” showcase raised the stakes, and the 2026 lineup also included Filipino tinikling (a bamboo-pole dance) and Indian bharatanatyam (a classical dance from South India).
