A lion dance can turn any crowd into a cheering section, and the Lunar New Year Celebration at POST Houston in downtown Houston is a free, all-ages chance to join one. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet. In 2026 it was held Sunday, February 15, from 11 am to 9 pm.
What to expect
Lion dances and cultural performances are the main draw. An Asian pop-up market gives you a reason to linger and shop.
With a long window from late morning into the evening, you can drop by for a performance or make a day of it. Since an RSVP was required in 2026, it’s smart to sign up ahead of time once the next date is posted.
