Kids love a good scavenger hunt, and the Wing Luke Museum Lunar New Year Family Fair in Seattle gives them one built around the zodiac animals. The museum hosts this annual family day at 719 South King Street. The 2027 date hasn’t been announced yet; in 2026 it took place Saturday, January 31.
What to expect
The day opens with a free public Lion Dance Blessing at the King Street entrance from 10 to 11 AM, performed by the Mak Fai Kung Fu Dragon & Lion Dance Association. Then the Family Fair runs from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Inside, kids can try crafts and group games, fill a take-home stamp passport and hunt for zodiac animals around the museum. Fair warning: a stamp passport can turn any kid into a very determined collector. The galleries and marketplace stay open until 5 PM.
